Rules

This market will resolve to “Yes” if the United States government officially supports an international effort to develop the technical and governance tools needed to deliberately pace the frontier of automated AI development, at any time after the creation of this market and before January 1, 2027 – 00:00 PST.

Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.”

For the purposes of this market:

• “Officially supports” requires a public announcement, statement, executive action, legislation, treaty commitment, or formal diplomatic initiative from the White House, relevant federal agencies (e.g., State Department, Commerce, NIST), or Congress that endorses, funds, joins, or launches such an international effort.

• Mere acknowledgments, non-committal reviews, private discussions, or existing general AI safety initiatives without explicit reference to pacing/deliberately controlling the pace of frontier automated AI development do not qualify.

• Support must occur after market deployment; prior statements or actions are ineligible.

• Temporary working groups, studies, or non-binding dialogues qualify only if they are framed as part of developing tools for deliberate pacing as described.
