Rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if non-human extraterrestrial life is publicly confirmed at any time after the creation of this market and before January 1, 2027 - 00:00 PST.

Otherwise this market will resolve to "No."

For the purposes of this market: "Non-human extraterrestrial life" includes microbial, multicellular, or intelligent life originating outside Earth. A "public confirmation" qualifies if either: (a) an official statement from a national government or a national/international space agency (e.g., NASA, ESA, CNSA, Roscosmos, ISRO) explicitly states that non-human extraterrestrial life has been detected and confirmed; or (b) a peer-reviewed scientific publication reporting detection of extraterrestrial life is published and is corroborated by at least one additional reputably recognized independent institution or agency. Single unverified claims, leaked reports, ambiguous detections, or confirmations that occurred prior to the creation of this market do not qualify.
