Polymarket
Will Polymarket adopt a new oracle mechanism in 2026?
This market will resolve to "Yes" if Polymarket begins using a new oracle or resolution mechanism for newly created markets at any time after the creation of this market and before January 1, 2027 - 00:00 PST. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No."
For the purposes of this market:
- A "new oracle mechanism" is defined as a resolution system that is not the UMA Optimistic Oracle and was not already in use by Polymarket at the time of this market's creation (for example, an in-house resolution system, a new third-party oracle, or a newly built dispute or arbitration system).
- The mechanism may replace UMA or be used alongside it, as long as it is used to officially resolve at least one newly created Polymarket market.
- Only mechanisms first adopted after the creation of this market are eligible. Oracle systems already used by Polymarket before market creation (including UMA and any existing price-feed resolution sources) do not qualify.
- Announcements, plans, testnet deployments, pilots, or experiments that are not used to resolve a live market do not qualify.
- Minor changes to UMA's parameters, bond sizes, dispute windows, or proposer whitelists do not qualify.
