This market will resolve to “Yes” if Google Maps (maps.google.com or the official Google Maps mobile app) displays the primary place name for the body of water currently labeled “Lake Ontario” as Lake America at any time after the creation of this market and before September 29, 2026 - 00:00 UTC. Otherwise this market will resolve to “No.” For the purposes of this market: • “Displays the primary place name” means the name shown as the main label on Google Maps map tiles or in the official Place Details panel on Google Maps (not user-created My Maps layers, user-added pins, KML overlays, third‑party embeds, or localized/temporary user suggestions). • Official announcements from Google (e.g., Google blog posts, Google Maps product update pages, or verified Google corporate/social accounts) stating an official rename qualify as evidence. • If the live Google Maps display and official Google communications conflict, outcome will be determined by consensus of credible reports and the live Google Maps display.
