Will any existing blockchain implement a quantum-resistance upgrade before 2028?
This market will resolve to “Yes” if any blockchain that existed prior to the creation of this market implements a quantum-resistance related protocol upgrade at any time after the creation of this market and before January 1, 2028 – 00:00 PST.
Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.”
For the purposes of this market:
- An “existing blockchain” is defined as a public blockchain network that had launched mainnet prior to market deployment.
- A “quantum-resistance related upgrade” is defined as a protocol-level change that introduces or transitions to post-quantum cryptographic primitives (e.g., quantum-resistant signature schemes or key exchange mechanisms) intended to mitigate risks from quantum computing attacks.
- The upgrade must be activated on mainnet, and usable by the general public.
- Research proposals, testnet deployments, optional experimental features, or roadmap announcements do not qualify unless the upgrade is implemented on mainnet.
- Soft forks, hard forks, or coordinated network upgrades all qualify if they meet the above criteria.
- Only upgrades occurring after market deployment are eligible.
