This market will resolve to “Yes” if OpenAI formally announces that it has achieved Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) at any point after the initiation of this market and before January 1, 2027, 00:00 PST.

Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.”

For the purposes of this market, a qualifying announcement must:

Explicitly use the term “AGI” (Artificial General Intelligence) or clearly state that OpenAI has achieved artificial general intelligence, and be issued through an official OpenAI communication channel, such as:

• The OpenAI website or blog

• An official OpenAI press release

• A verified public statement by OpenAI leadership acting in an official capacity

Speculation, leaks, interviews without clear official capacity, third-party reporting, benchmark claims, or descriptions such as “near-AGI,” “AGI-level,” or “approaching AGI” do not qualify without an explicit OpenAI announcement as defined above.

If no qualifying announcement occurs by the resolution deadline, this market will resolve to “No.”
